Well hello and welcome!

I have had a little hiatus from my blog, but I’m back and ready to fill this space with all things sparkle to ensure you are at the top of your game when it comes to diamonds.

So, to start things off, I thought I would go back to basics – more specifically the Four C’s. I have essentially created your go-to guide for selecting diamonds in a simple, yet informative infographic (because who doesn’t love a good infographic). It really is diamonds 101. I mean, do you know a Carrot from a Carat?  Or when you zoom in on the engagement ring photo on Instagram (guilty), can you pick the cut? Or are you not quite sure what the ‘C’s’ in ‘the four c’s’ even stand for? If you paused, or answered no to any of those, or simply enjoy a delightful infographic – please read on. Because, when it comes to the basics of buying diamonds (selfless promotion: I can totally do this for you + plus more) – I’ve got you covered.

Now go forth and view (stalk) and talk diamonds with confidence (and sparkle – naturally). Enjoy!

Diamonds for Dummies

Excuse my post title. I know it's not smart to patronise my valued readers. But did you know 80% of people buy diamond engagement rings blind? This staggering statistic is made even more unbearable by the fact that diamond engagement rings are a serious investment - some would say up there among life's biggest purchases, after the house and the car!

The same passion that has brought The Diamond Hunter to life is yearning within me to educate diamond virgins into buying smart! So that's what I do - I work with my valued clients, I take them on the diamond journey, and do everything in my power to ensure they are armed with the knowledge to decide on the best diamond at the sharpest possible price.

I'm GIA certified, which means I know my carats from my carrots. I know what gremlins to look out for and how maximise value for money so that my clients can invest in a ring that will stand out in a crowd and wow for the long haul. I allow my clients to be as involved as they want to be - listening to every last nerdy detail of a diamond's gemmological analysis or for the time-poor, only bothering them with the big decisions - 4-claws or 6? Empowering my clients through knowledge offers them a greater opportunity to buy with confidence and to actually enjoy the ring-buying process, just as cupid intended it. And what do I get out of it? I'm not going to sugar-coat this... I get to look at diamonds all day!

So if, like most clients, you're in the market for an engagement ring but have no idea where to start or who to turn to, shoot me an email, or give me a call - you'll end up with a showstopper and you'll save a fortune doing it.
